Students

We are keen to encourage University of Bristol students to work with green, inclusive and democratic organisations in the city and region.

In collaboration with the Professional Liaison Network, we have created a number of student internships for students in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law:

AskingBristol Student Internship

AskingBristol is exploring how to lubricate and democratise asking and giving in Bristol.  The ambition of AskingBristol is to use the connectedness of the City to match the needs ('asks') of the voluntary sector in the Greater Bristol area.

This internship was intended to support AskingBristol to build a directory of superconnecting individuals and organisations in the city and to then match these to the asks of the voluntary sector.

Can Do Bristol EFM Internship

In partnership with Business in the Community, Bristol City Council and Made Open, UoB (through the Inclusive Economy Initiative) planned to establish an offer and ask platform for the city region (now established as Can Do Bristol).

This internship was a research project to review and classify existing digital ‘social infrastructure platforms’ aimed at exchanging goods, services and information, which in turn will then inform a wider research project, defining the socio-economic benefit of this type of platform.
