Inclusive economies

Bristol is a divided city, with the educational, health and life chances of the poorest being very different to those of the wealthiest.

Addressing our climate ambitions requires that the whole diversity of the city’s population are fully engaged and represented in every sector of the economy. A just transition to a zero-carbon economy will impact on our population in very different ways, depending on the sort of privileges they already enjoy.

We have contributed to research on engaging BAME social entrepreneurs in social investment, done research and policy work on access to cash, and helped raising funding for a local partnership aimed at tackling inequality through promoting a step change in Bristol’s social economy.
