In November 2018, Bristol became the UK’s first city to declare a climate emergency and it adopted the goal of becoming a carbon neutral city by 2030. This target is for greenhouse emissions from:
- The direct use of fossil fuels and electricity in the city.
- The production of goods and services which are consumed by our residents and businesses.
This is a hugely ambitious target and requires changes in just about every aspect of the life of the city.
We work with a variety of businesses through the Green Capital Partnership, and have been involved in projects on public opinion about climate change in Bristol.
